Emily Dickinson biography
When Emily Dickinson died in 1886, hundreds of poems were found scattered through her home. The were subsequently organized and published posthumously.
ReplyDeleteFor TBB's reprints of Dickinson's poems will not use either of their standard numbering systems, neither of which she used, nor dates of composition, which are usually best estimates of others. The first line has been used as a post title, but the poems themselves are left untitled, the way she wrote them.
Love the notion of her shedding poems as she went to and fro sans thought of publishing. Like a tree bearing fruit!
