This poem requires some pondering, some thought. Of course, E. E. Cummings thoughts about love. Love can be a puzzling concept/feeling to put into words. The poet often takes this task on. His poem asks us to ponder love with him, as many poems often do. Love is more substantial than forget. My experience has told me that love outlasts forget. Difficult to forget love as it makes quite an impression. Often excruciating to forget love. Love is thinner than recall... to recall bring back into mind, remember. Presently in the world love does seem seldom, and does at times forgotten, require recall. Love can be a choice, a conscious choice and also is a feeling. Excuse my perhaps rudimentary analysis as I am still learning. Cummings employs a steady syllable count (stanza 1 & 3 share the same rhythm; stanza 2 & 4 do as well), rhythm with this poem, pleasant cadence. Thank you George. Happy Valentine's Day to you! 💟💟💟💟💟💟
